Alternative Flour Cake Box
Our alternative flour selection of five cakes made with vegetables as the largest ingredient, a whole new dimension for anyone who love cakes.
By using vegetables as the largest ingredient we have created a wonderful range of cakes.
All our cakes are hand made in small batches using our own vegetables and eggs where possible. Our award winning cakes will be delivered by post to the door, ideal for a Birthday or thank you gift, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or for any cake fan.
The alternative flour cake selection will consist of:
- Chocolate Torte with Aubergine (Almond)
- Apricot and Almond with Carrot (Gram)
- Chocolate Brownie with Spinach (G/F Flour blend)
- Lime Drizzle with Courgette (Rice)
- Chocolate Butternut Squash Sponge (Rice)
Please note: even though we use alternative flours, rice, gram and almond, we do have gluten in the kitchen.
At Blackberry Cottage all our cakes are handmade in small batches, they are then hand-wrapped and securely packed in the box.
Our cakes have been featured in magazines such as Vogue, The Telegraph, Diet Magazine, Saturday Independant, Daily Mail, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life among others.
They have been awarded BBC Good Food Producers of Excellent British Speciality Food.
Shelf life: 5-7 days (depending on the cake). Suitable for freezing, place in freezer on delivery, can freeze for up to 3 months.
Please note that our cakes are sent out Royal Mail 1st Class, which is normally next day delivery, but in peak seasonal times this cannot be guaranteed.

Butternut Squash and Orange Cake: BUTTERNUT SQUASH (23%), GROUND ALMONDS, EGGS, RICE FLOUR, SUGAR, MIMOSA CORDIAL (8%), (Sugar, Water, Flavour, Natural Colouring Agent Lutein, Acidifier: Citric Acid), ORANGE ZEST, BAKING POWDER (Raising Agents: E450 Diphosphates, E500 Sodium Carbonates; Maize Starch), Topping: ICING SUGAR, ORANGE JUICE.
