Our spice rubs are roasted and ground in small batches, so you’re likely to have a blend that’s only been ground a few days or a couple of weeks at most.
These spice blends can be used as either dry rubs or wet marinades to transform simple meat, fish or vegetable dishes.
- Spicy Taco (mild): one of our versatile rubs, great with mince or chicken and anything in between! Just 2 teaspoons in a chilli gives a fantastic flavour and with no sugar, it’s equally at home sprinkled over potato wedges when roasting. Add to soft butter and either rub on the chicken, or pack in between the skin and the flesh before roasting – it’ll baste itself with lots of spicy, buttery goodness!
- Chicken Rub (mild):tired of cooking chicken the same way? Fancy adding a massive amount of flavour in just one teaspoon? Well, now it’s so easy with our new Chicken Rub! The combination of the thyme and bay gives food a richly aromatic boost that’s just perfect for any poultry. Add to soft butter and either rub on the chicken, or pack in between the skin and the flesh before roasting – it’ll baste itself with lots of spicy, buttery goodness!
- Steak Rub: This is an incredible seasoning for steak and other red meat: it adds levels of flavour with its complex range of spices, yet doesn’t overpower the flavour of the meat. Both coffee and pure cacao enhance the meaty flavour of red meats, so we put both in our Steak Rub to really give your steak attitude!
- Jamaican Jerk Rub (fiery): the fiery, fresh & zingy blend of chilli gives a real kick with an almost-citrusy note to any food. With bold flavours of ginger, allspice, nutmeg and our unique chilli blend, chicken and pork will be transformed with just teaspoon.
- N'Awleans Cajun Rub (hot): a rich blend of intense, smokey & zingy spice. Our unique chilli blend is balanced perfectly with the herbs and citrus zest to give a beautiful flavour – with absolutely NO sugar either!
- Salmon Rub (mild): this highly aromatic blend has goji berries & fennel to really liven up any salmon dish - it's great with pork too! With a lovely smokey/sweet note because of the paprika blend, it’s more fragrant than hot and really brings out the flavour of the food rather than overpowering it.
