Meet Karma Tea Co. – Making Tea Good

Founded in London in 2019, Karma Tea Co. was born from a simple but powerful belief: that tea can be a force for good. Created by lifelong tea lover Alison, our mission is to make it easier for people to enjoy exceptional tea while doing good for themselves, others, and the planet.

The name Karma comes from the Sanskrit word for “action”—a reminder that what we put out into the world comes back to us. That’s why we’re committed to sourcing speciality, loose whole-leaf teas that are as ethically and sustainably produced as they are delicious.

Alison’s journey began with a love of tea rooted in British culture, but it deepened while travelling through South Asia, where the vibrant chai traditions inspired a new appreciation for the craft, the communities, and the land behind each cup. Returning home, she trained as a tea connoisseur—and uncovered the darker side of the tea industry, from large-scale industrial farming to the lack of transparency harming both people and planet.

So she left her day job and set out to do better—with Karma Tea Co.

At Karma Tea Co., we believe in order to be good, you have to do good. That means being fair to farmers, kind to the planet, and committed to quality. It’s a journey we’re proud to be on—and we hope you’ll join us in making tea better for everyone.
