Inspired by our favourite French pastry chefs, our Rose and Raspberry madeleine is our signature masterpiece.
Gently flavoured with natural rose extract, it is filled with homemade raspberry confit beautifully textured with raspberry seeds. It is then lightly glazed with rose extract and decorated with freeze dried raspberry pieces.
The box is made of 9 madeleines, individually wrapped in compostable cello bags to ensure they stay fresh for as long as possible and presented in an eco-friendly gift box with a lovely ribbon.
Shelf life and storage tips: They will be at their best on the day you receive them and resisting the temptation to eat all madeleines at once takes strong willpower. However, if you want to save some for another day they can be kept for up to six days in an airtight container in a cool room. And if you really want to make them last, you can even freeze them for up to 3 months and defrost at room temperature.
If you've resisted eating your madeleines for a few days you can restore that 'just baked' taste by popping them in the oven at 180C for 2-3 minutes. They will be soft and crispy again! However we don't recommend re-heating our chocolate-coated madeleines. Do remember to remove the white chocolate disk before!
Madeleine: wheat flour, butter, caster sugar, egg, milk, honey, baking powder, natural rose extract, natural red colouring (Rice Protein, Red Beet Juice Concentrate E162, Potassium Hydroxide E525, Citric Acid E330).
Filling: raspberries, sugar, fruit pectin.
Glazing: Icing sugar, water, rose extract, freeze dried raspberry pieces.
Allergens: Gluten (wheat), butter, egg, milk.
