A family-run farm committed to sustainable practises located in the Clwydian Range in North East Wales. 

Penbedws story starts over 70 years ago, when their grandfather, Captain Nick Archdale, started farming in the beautiful hills of North Wales in 1948. A few decades later and his passion for farming still lives on at Penbedw Estate, and while the family has grown as a business, their dedication to quality and sustainability remains in the spirit of their grandfather. 

Their grandfather was integral in creating the Welsh Half Bred. Initially a cross between the indigenous Welsh Mountain sheep and the Border Leicester, the Welsh half bred is then mixed with a texel ram to give the quality lamb that they sell today. Delicious and exceptionally juicy, the meat is packed with great flavour gained from years of traditional farming methods.

Sustainability is at the heart of what this family run farm does. The grass-fed lambs graze freely on the farm and the meat is processed locally, within 16 miles, to ensure the freshest quality. All their meat comes in a recyclable and biodegradable packaging by WoolCool made from 100% wool that will keep the product fresh until delivered.
