6 Ways To Use Avocados

Whether you want something sweet, savoury or a new beauty product: avocados are amazing! Here are my favourite ways to use avocados:
1. Chocolate Mousse
Avocado? In chocolate mousse? It sounds bizarre – I know, but trust me; you can’t taste the avocado one bit and it gives the most deliciously creamy texture. Simply whiz up 1 whole avocado, ½ a banana, 2 tbsp. raw cacao powder and 1 tbsp. maple syrup for a nutritious and chocolatey single serving dessert.
2. Mashed
Using a fork, mash avocado on top of rye bread or rice cakes then top with tomato slices, pink Himalayan sea salt and black pepper. This makes for a super quick and easy breakfast or lunch; providing a boost of healthy fats to keep you going throughout the day.
3. Salad
Cut half an avocado into cubes and simply toss into your salad! Slice your avocado in half and remove the stone. Cut one half lengthways through the flesh from one side to the other and then do the same widthways. Scoop out the cubed avocado using a small metal spoon and throw on top of your salad.
4. Creamy Green Smoothie
Add avocado to your green smoothie for a delicately creamy edge and a hit of heart-healthy fats. I like to use ½ avocado, handful spinach, ¼ cup pineapple and ¼ cup almond milk - creamy and delicious.
5. Guacamole
What a classic! Mash avocado with red pepper, cherry tomatoes and red onion. Add lemon juice, Himalayan sea salt and black pepper and you’re good to go. Bring on the crudités.
6. Face Mask
You’ve probably seen Instagram pictures of holistic chicks with smashed avocado smeared on their faces – and they have good reason! Avocados are packed full of vitamins, minerals and monounsaturated fats, which soak in to give you super soft skin and a healthy glow!
