Vegan Salted Caramel Milkshake
This milkshake is a definite favourite of mine - it consists of pink Himalayan salt combined with medjool dates to create a delicious salted caramel flavour. This drink could be a fabulous breakfast treat, an afternoon pick-me-up or a cheeky dessert; it may taste
indulgent but every ingredient in it is incredibly nutritious and will benefit your body in so many ways.
Ingredients
Serves 1
- 1 fresh or frozen banana
- 2 - 3 pitted medjool dates
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt (or other salt)
- 1 cup (250ml) non-dairy milk
- Handful of ice cubes (if using a fresh banana)
Method
Simply put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Put the liquid in first to make it easier for your blender to break everything down. Once smooth, pour it into a glass and enjoy!
Don’t worry if you haven’t got Himalayan pink salt - good quality sea salt will work just as well!
