5 Ways To Use Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are jam packed with nutrients - here are just a few ways you can add them to your meals/drinks.
1. Make A Healthy Dessert
Mix two tablespoons of Chia Seeds with some Cacao Powder and Unsweetened Almond Milk (or you could mix in with some fruit if you prefer the taste to chocolate) and then leave in your fridge for an hour or so and you’ve got yourself a healthy, tasty dessert!
2. Add Them To Your Smoothies
Really simple, when you’re in the mix with your fruit smoothie, just throw in some chia seeds for extra added nutrition.
3. Use Them As Breading
If you’re looking for a healthy substitute for chicken and fish fingers (or the meat free versions) then, instead of breadcrumbs, add chia seeds, ground flaxseed and herbs for a healthier take on these classic finger foods.
4. Add Them To Your Baking
Whether you decide to make bread, cookies, cake or all three! Just simply add them to your mix of ingredients and bake.
5. Make Raspberry Jam
For a healthy jam substitute, all you need to do is blend a cup of raspberries with two tablespoons of water, one tablespoon of rice malt syrup and two tablespoons of chia seeds then pour the mix into a saucepan and you’ve got your jam!
