Orange and Carrot Juice Recipe

We all get a little under the weather sometimes and our immune systems need a little helping hand to give them a boost. A good, vitamin-rich juice can be just what the doctor ordered! Oranges are known for their impressive vitamin C content and carrots for vitamin A. Both of these vitamins are amazing for giving your immune system an extra boost and can really help when you're feeling a bit sluggish.

This recipe is so quick and easy and perfect for when you’re feeling a cold coming on. It's also great for if you're new to juicing, as it is lovely and sweet from the oranges.

Ingredients:

(makes enough for 1 large jug)

  • 3 to 4 large oranges
  • 1kg carrots
  • Squeeze of lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 inch of ginger, grated (optional)

Method:

In a juicer, juice both the oranges and the carrots. If you feel a cold coming on or are in need of an extra boost, add the lemon juice and grated ginger just before serving.

This will store in a refrigerator and will keep for up to a couple of days, although it is best drunk immediately. If you do decide to store your juice, use a glass bottle or jar rather than plastic, as the carrot juice can stain.
