Baby Led Weaning Breakfast Ideas: Healthy Porridge Squares
My daughter is almost 11 months old now, and feeding/weaning has been smooth sailing - she's always been a really good eater... that is, until a few weeks ago! I'm currently doing a mix of baby led weaning and spoon feeding and it was going really well, but she now either refuses to eat or throws it on the floor - much to my frustration!
So I decided to come up with some new baby led weaning breakfast ideas, and came up with these healthy porridge squares. She absolutely loves having these for breakfast! They are a little bit like flapjack bites without any of the nasties. You can make a batch of them and save them for breakfast the next day or snack time so it saves time.
Ingredients:
- 130g Sprouted Oats
- 1 cup of unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1 cup of mixed berries (I used strawberries and raspberries)
- 1 egg
- A pinch of Baking Powder
- 1 tsp of Agave Nectar
- A little bit of coconut oil to grease the baking tray
Method:
Simply mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and spread evenly on a greased baking tray, then cook them for 15-20 minutes (or until golden brown). Leave them to cool for half an hour and then cut them into squares, then serve them in the morning or at snack time.
