Homemade Christmas Bath Salts

For Christmas I love to make and receive homemade gifts. One of my favourite gifts is a hamper filled with a collection of well chosen food plus a few bits I have made myself.

Another lovely gift are these bath salt 'recipes' you could perhaps pair it with the key items for a perfect pamer night in...

The ‘Recipe’ Indgredients:

The Relaxer

  • 2 cups epsom salts
  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 1/2 cup bicarbonate of soda
  • 4000 mg Vitamin C Powder (optional)
  • 10-20 drops lavender essential oil
  • A handful of dried lavender buds

The Energiser

  • 2 cups epsom salts
  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 1/2 cup bicarbonate of soda
  • 4000 mg Vitamin C Powder (optional)
  • 10-20 drops of grapefruit essential oil
  • the zest of one grapefruit allowed to dry in the air or a low oven

The Indulgent

  • 2 cups epsom salts
  • 1 cup powdered milk (if you’re allergic to milk replace with sea salt and bicarb)
  • 4000 mg Vitamin C Powder (optional)
  • 10-20 drops rose essential oil
  • A handful of dried rose petals

Method:

  1. Pick your recipe and measure all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl
  2. Mix well
  3. Decant into a kilner style jar and decorate with a ribbon and tag

You can experiment with different combinations using your favourite fragrances. They're also great for a treat for you too.
