A Rose or a Rose Kulfi?
For desert, after your Valentine's Day romantic dinner we propose a Rose Kulfi, a Rich Indian Ice Cream.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Valentine's Day is ahead
this Rose Kulfi is for you!
Ingredients:
- ½ tsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp milk
- 200ml evaporated milk
- 200ml condensed milk
- 200g double cream
- 150g almond powder
- 10 cashew nut chopped
- 6 drops of Rose Spice Drops
- 6 drops of Cardamom Spice Drops
- 6-8 drops of pink food colouring
Preparation:
Mix the cornflour with the milk and set aside. In a saucepan, heat the
evaporated milk and bring to the boil. Add the condensed milk, double cream, almond
powder, cashew nuts and the cornflour mixture and stir well for one minute. Remove
from the heat. Once the mixture has cooled down add the Spice Drops® and the colour.
Place the creamy mixture in a food processor or a use a hand blender and blend for a
couple of minutes to smooth out any lumps. Pour into disposable plastic cups and freeze
for at least six hours or overnight until the kulfi is quite firm. You simply have to cut the
plastic cup to get the kulfi out.
