Tired this autumn? Use magnesium to revitalise!

There's something about colder weather and shorter evenings that seems to make me sluggish and sleepy. One really easy way to add a bit more energy-boosting fuel to your diet is by upping you intake of magnesium.

As well as boosting your energy, magnesium can reduce stress, reduce bloating, help you sleep better at night and reduce fatigue in the day and can help muscles to relax (aiding all of the above and helping recovery after exercise).

As a complete bonus, magnesium can be found in lots of autumnal foods anyway. Dark chocolate and pumpkin seeds have a large amount of magnesium gram per gram. To make a really simple recipe, simply coat pumpkin seeds (mixed in with dried fruit and other seeds), in dark chocolate and chill. You can then use this as a museli/cereal, or just as a healthy snack.
