The Best Summer Food Festivals 2022

The Best Summer Food Festivals 2022

After a hard couple of years, we can get back to having some truly stunning outdoor foodie events. Food festivals can be a great place to find gifts for foodies and to meet the people behind the artisan food that you so enjoy. We have taken a look at some of the best summer food festivals that are coming up this year and have listed a few of our favourites below.

Blenheim Palace Food Festival (2-5 June, Oxfordshire)

The food festival is to be held in the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend from 2-5 June. There will be a mix of national and local food and drink producers and many local artisan food businesses will be attending, serving up treats for everyone and offering the chance to buy high quality foodie gifts!

Food Truck Festival (21 May, Down Royal Race course)

The inaugural food truck festival will see artisan food trucks from locals all over Ireland converge at the Royal Down racecourse near Lisburne on the 21st of May. This is the first event of its kind to be held in Northern Ireland. This will be a fun day out for all the family with a food village full of quality local food and drink producers, with music and entertainment also provided on-site!

Taste Cumbria (13 & 14 August, Mayport)

This is a festival for local food and drink producers to ply their wares and is spread over four locations and different dates through the year. The next instalment of this festival is in the seaside town of Maryport on 13th and 14th August. This festival is a great opportunity for local Cumbrian producers and artisans to showcase what they do and for visitors to buy some lovely, locally, ethically sourced food and drink.

Pub in the Park (locations vary, see below)

27-29 May, Wimbledon

10-12 June, Warwick

17-19 June, Bath

24-26 June, Dulwich

08-10 July, Tunbridge Wells

02-04 Sept, Chiswick

09-11 Sept, St. Albans

16-18 Sept, Brighton

This event which was launched by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge is actually a number of events held across England on different dates, so there is a good chance that you will find a date and location that suits your availability! Nine events in total, this festival celebrates high quality food and drink and is especially attractive for craft beer and gin producers. There will be a number of artisan food exhibitors and vendors on site at each leg of the festival for your delectation along with music and entertainment.

The Great British Food Festival

This festival is a moving feast of different events held throughout the Summer. The fact that it moves around 11 different venues means that there are multiple sets of local producers who can attend, and the line-up of exhibitors is likely to vary greatly at each iteration of the festival as it moves around England and Wales. Each event promises to be a great day out for family and friends, with cooking demonstrations and tastings galore.
