50g Tin of RAFA for Heroes Loose Leaf English Breakfast Tea.
This bespoke blend was created by Henrietta Lovell for Terry Clark, a Battle of Britain RAF navigator veteran.
It is a blend from two independent tea gardens - The Temi Tea Garden in Sikkim, India, and the Satemwa Estate on Thyolo Mountain in Malawi.
50p of the price you pay goes to the Royal Air Forces Association Wings Appeal repaying just a little of what so many of us owe to so few.
Tasting Notes
A more delicate flavour than a modern Breakfast tea, it has soft florals balanced by smooth, malty notes.
Infusion Guide
We recommend using 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water.
If you're drinking this tea without milk we recommend using water at 85°C. If you are adding milk use boiling water.
Infuse for 1-2 minutes to your taste.
The leaves can be infused at least twice - as the leaves soften and unfurl, new flavours are revealed.
Storage and shelf life: The BBE of the sealed pouch of tea is 5 years. Once the pouch is open and decanted into the storage tin, we recommend drinking it within 6 months.
