50g Tin of Sikkim Second Flush Muscatel Loose Leaf Black Tea.
This highly fragrant black tea is sourced from the Temi Tea Garden in Sikkim, India.
Sikkim is the neighboring state to Darjeeling, one of the most famous tea growing regions in the world. Sikkim may well be less known, however it's producing some of the best tea we've ever tasted. The whole state is organic and Temi Tea Garden has rich biodiversity. They are strong advocates of protecting the unique ecosystem and the rich flora and fauna of the area.
Tasting Notes
This tea has a heady, floral aroma with soft notes of muscatel grapes.
Infusion Guide
We recommend using 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water.
For the optimum infusion use 85°C water and infuse for 1-2 minutes.
The leaves can be infused at least twice - as the leaves soften and unfurl, new flavours are revealed.
Storage and shelf life: The BBE of the sealed pouch of tea is 5 years. Once the pouch is open and decanted into the storage tin, we recommend drinking it within 6 months.
