SPARKLING WINE

• Domaine Bablut - Cremant De Loire Brut NV from France (Organic). The Domaine is located south of the Loire river. Owned by the Daviau family since 1546, the vineyards cover an area of ​​just over 50 hectares. In 1993, a biodynamic test in the vineyard lead to the conversion to organic farming of the entire vineyard in 1996. The grapes are picked by hand and there has been no artificial sprays or chemicals used in the vineyard. Made in small quantities. You will taste the difference in quality with fine bubbles. Pair this wine with starters. A selection of soft and hard cheese, smoked salmon and pâté would work well. 12.5% abv.

WHITE WINES

• Domaine Haegi - Riesling from Alsace in France (Organic). This 100% Riesling comes from a single vineyard. The fruit is handpicked and yielded only 500 cases. This cuvee was named after winemaker Daniel Haegi’s oldest daughter Aurore. The style is the classic Alsatian dry Riesling. This wine is delicately fruity, of a nice well balanced structure with floral nuances.
• Bauer Pöltl - Piri from Burgenland in Austria (Organic). Bauer Pöltl are organic wine farmers from Horitschon in Austria. Their wines are made by hand, believing in the concept of terrior, where the wines are a true reflection of the soil, region and surrounding eco system. Piri is a blend of primarily Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner. Expect a lovely nose full of citrus and tropical fruits. On the pallet its shows great minerality, structural acidity and bold citron and tropical fruits.Pair with: Grilled calamari or hard cheese and green olives. 11.5% abv.

ROSE WINE

• Château Picoron - Madam, I'm Adam Rose (Organic). It is a 2020 vintage with a bouquet of fresh wild strawberry, crispgrapefruit rind, wild flowers and a refreshing dry body. Early harvested Merlot, hand pressed in the Provençale way, to maintain freshness at lower alcohol.

RED WINES

• Tenuta Arabona - Mia Natural Montepulciano from Abruzzo in Italy (Organic). Mia Natural is a fantastic organic, natural unfiltered wine and great value.The vineyards cover roughly 20 hectares and all the organic grapes are harvested by hand. The vineyard is cultivate and farm through bio-dyanmic and organic methods, where no artificial sprays or chemicals are used. Expect a wine which is full of red and black berries along with a nice bit of black pepper and tannin. Pair with: a nice piece of roasted lamb shoulder, potatoes and root vegetables. 13% abv.
• Bodegas Tempore - Tempranillo from Aragon in Spain (Organic). A lovely organic red wine from Aragon in Spain. The family owned Bodegas Tempore vineyard is about 90 minutes north west of Barcelona on route to Rioja in a small Spanish wine region called Aragon DO. The wine is made from 100% organically grown Tempranillo grapes. On the nose Generacion Tempranillo has enticing aromas of strawberry, blackberry with subtle notes of soft liquorish and vanilla. In your mouth it will surprisingly full for a young wine, with fresh strawberry, black cherry and plum flavours.

Organic wines are better for the environment as the winemaker does not spray artificial herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard to control pests and weeds. Instead, the winemaker will use more natural methods like having ducks, geese and sheep to eat the weeds and position other plants throughout the vineyard which bugs and insects prefer to the wine grapes.
