Each tin contains 4 Lebkuchen:
- 2 covered in icing
- 2 covered in dark chocolate.
Each Lebkuchen measures 7cm in diameter.
Our "Eleedsen-Lebkuchen" have been awarded the Great Taste Award by the British Guild of Fine Food.
If you wonder what they taste like, this sums it up nicely: “These are delightful little treats with wonderful tastes that sum up the festive season. It’s like a sweet mulled biscuit. The sugar content is low and due to the low level of flour the texture is light and crumbly without dryness.” – Guild of Fine Food.
...Little did they know that they boast a 40% nut content and only a dusting of flour in the bottom wafer. A truly premium version of a Lebkuchen!
Everyone familiar with the German town of Nuremberg might know that Elisen-Lebkuchen are the town’s best-kept Christmas secret. Bloom Baker Lisa hails from Nuremberg and her recipe produces as good and authentic a Lebkuchen as any that you will find in Germany!
Eggs, mixed peel (orange peel (42%), glucose-fructose syrup, lemon peel (16%), sugar, acidity regulator (citric acid), preservative (sulphur dioxide)), hazelnuts, almonds, dark chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, milk fat, cocoa butter, emulsifier (soya lecithins), flavouring) OR icing sugar, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, wafer (wheat flour, starch), cardamom, coriander, ginger, white pepper, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, star anise, salt.
