Couscous is so simple to prepare that it makes a great side or salad base. Just pour on very hot water, fluff with a fork, wait up to 5 minutes, fluff again to separate the grains and add a little olive oil. That's it!
Our Moroccan couscous is packed with the favourite flavours of Moroccan cuisine: Harissa spice, red pepper, sultanas and sunflower seeds with smokey roast garlic to pack an extra punch. Each pot will make a salad-base or an accompaniment/side for up to four people.
We love it with roast chicken instead of roasties or mash, with roast Mediterranean vegetables to soak up the juices, with a tomatoey chicken casserole (tagine) and with baked fish or fish baked with tomatoes and peppers. As a salad-base it's great with chopped tomatoes and peppers, black olives and feta or fried halloumi (or vegan and vegetarian equivalents). It's specially good as a lunchbox meal to take to work with lettuce, olives and tuna.
Your couscous will keep for at least 12 months from when you receive it. Please store cool and dry.
Couscous is made from wheat so it isn't suitable for a wheat-free diet.
