Our vegan ponzu is packed with citrus and umami and with 3 Gold Stars (a coveted prize from the Guild of Fine Food) you know the quality is going to be sublime. White soy sauce enhances soups, sauces, marinades and countless other dishes by adding depth of flavour and white miso is famously flavourful and versatile. Add the finest Black Sesame oil, Furikake seasoning and the sensational richness of Okinawa sugar and this kit is going to be a huge hit in any household, vegan or not!
This Vegan Cooking Kit Includes
- Sudachi Kombu Ponzu 300ml - A traditional ponzu sauce suitable for vegans. The peppery lime flavour of fresh sudachi juice combines with kombu seaweed stock for a rich umami flavour that is the essence of Japanese cuisine. Ready to use directly on salads or as part of a dressing, an excellent dip for gyoza and sushi, it also adds depth and rich flavour to sauces, stocks and stir-fries.
- White Soy Sauce 360ml - Shiro murasaki white soy sauce is distinguished by its pale colour which allows it to be used as a rich soy seasoning without darkening the colour of the dish in the same way as a traditional soy sauce. Use to seasons stocks, broths, noodles, braised vegetables, seasoned rice, stir-fries.
- Smoked Soy Sauce - Smoked using cherry wood, this soy has a very powerful smoky flavour. It is designed to be added to sauces and dishes in very small amounts to deliver a full-bodied flavour of smoke and umami. Turns baked beans into a gourmet dish!
- White Miso 500g - White miso is a sweeter, less salty miso that has been fermented over a shorter period for a lighter flavour. Excellent for a light miso soup this miso can also be used to marinate meat, fish and vegetables and can be added to any soup where a slightly sweetened umami flavour is called for. Pair with our Kombu for an excellent quality miso soup.
- Organic furikake with sesame & shiso 30g - Furikake is Japanese seasoning made with roasted sesame seeds and flavoured with seaweed, seafood, soy sauce, fruit, nuts or vegetables. Typically sprinkled on rice, fish or vegetables to season and add flavour, texture and colour. Furikake can also be used with noodles, meat and salads.
- Okinawa Sugar 300g - The black sugar pieces are made by mixing raw, unrefined sugar with molasses and very slightly refined brown sugar. This mix combines a mild sweetness with salty, bitter and acidic flavours of liquorice and molasses. Use: Excellent for rich, complex sweetness in desserts particularly with chocolate and red berries. Hard to resist straight from the pack, it is often served this way with coffee and tea.
Orders are sent with DHL on an express (1-2 day) service, to arrive by courier and will require a signature.
