Valdas Oil is a family run business.
We produce our oils according to ancient traditions - by cold pressing in a barrel. Oils have a natural taste, colour, and smell, as we do not use heating, refining, or filtration methods during the process. The process of pressing oils takes a large amount of time, but the result is always priceless and excellent for the body and mind. The oils are always made fresh and are made to order, especially for each customer. We do not produce oils in large quantities, and we do not store for long periods. The products give us all the benefits from nature itself!
Valdas Oil offers different types of cold pressed vegetable oil: Sunflower Oil, Linseed Oil, Pumpkin Oil, Sesame Oil, Walnut Oil, Almond Oil.
We would recommend ordering 1 to 3 x 250ml bottles, as each parcel box can contain up to 3 bottles. It is better value for money as you only spend £3.29 for shipping. (And if you order more than 3 of any bottles shipping is free!)
Medicinal properties
Since ancient times, raw almond oil has been known as an excellent remedy for healing ulcers, cracks and wounds even on the most delicate areas of the skin and mucous membranes of internal organs. Due to the rich content of oleic acid, almond oil helps in the treatment of 12 duodenal ulcer diseases. And due to its emollient and moisturizing qualities, it is recommended as a laxative even for infants.
Cosmetology
Raw almond oil is literally a "natural cream" that perfectly softens, moisturizes and nourishes the skin. Due to this, it is widely used for:
- Daily care for dry skin (alone or as part of masks)
- Strengthening hair and eyelashes
- Treatment of dermatitis and irritation (including in children)
- Moisturizing during massage.
Almond oil is also used to mellow down the tendency to swelling and cellulite. It is also popular in aromatherapy, where it serves as the basis for ethereal compositions.
Cookery
Almonds are the kings of desserts. Fresh almond oil may be added to gingerbread, cookies, pastries and cakes for aroma and taste. But in gastronomy, there is always a place for cold-pressed almond oil, as a light salad dressing or as part of a fish sauce. For example, it may be used in pesto. In terms of heat, like other cold-pressed oils, almond oil is limited to soups, and then at will. Heating it is fraught with the destruction of all its useful substances. Therefore, you need to store in a dark container and in a cool place for no more than 4 months.
How long does Almond Oil usually last?
Since Almond Oil is pressed without any chemicals, it lasts for 4 months unopened and once opened, it lasts for 2 months in the fridge. At the back of every bottle of oil pressed, there is the date on which it was pressed and how long it will last.
When do you make the oil?
We usually press the oils the night before or on the same day. This is because we want to ensure that our products are delivered fresh and are able to last for a while.
