Coronavirus update

We're open! The vast majority of our independent and artisan makers are continuing to operate during this time. The few that can't have made their items unavailable to buy.

Our makers, who are small independent businesses, appreciate your support now more than ever.

In terms of health and safety, our makers have always followed the strictest regulations and have taken even more steps in light of the pandemic including of course following social distancing measures for their staff. Public Health England has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus.

In terms of delivery our makers are working hard to ensure that parcels get dispatched quickly and in keeping with the estimated delivery timescales you see. Our makers are keeping their delivery timescales updated as best they can to reflect the changing situation. However please do bear in mind that during this challenging time the delivery services they use like the Royal Mail, may have some delays and disruptions in varying pockets across the country, outside of our makers control and visibility. We recommend just as a precaution allowing that there may be an extra few days delivery on the timescales you can see, particularly if the items are sent with Royal Mail (who is experiencing a 60% increase in parcel volumes coupled with pandemic related staffing challenges). We thank you on their behalf for your patience and understanding.


How it works

Every order is sent to you directly by the talented food (or drink) maker - who often make their foods freshly to order for you. If you order items from more than one food maker you will receive more than one delivery (yay to multiple surprises in the post!).

The food makers specify their own delivery options, and follow the guide below to make sure their delivery prices are fair and reasonable. Their delivery options and charges can be seen on their product details pages, in your basket and also confirmed before you checkout.

As soon as your items have been dispatched you will receive confirmation that your delivery is on its way. You can track the status of your orders in your Yumbles account, where you can also get in touch with the maker directly if you have any questions (look for "Contact Seller"). * All delivery options are for UK deliveries only. International delivery is not currently available on Yumbles. Food makers confirm on their product pages and also on checkout which of these delivery options are available for their products.

** These guide prices indicate the maximum charges for orders of standard food items on Yumbles. Food makers will confirm their actual delivery charges on their product pages and also when you checkout. Orders including non-standard items (for example: drinks, accessories, or chilled foods), or orders exceeding 2kg in total weight, may have higher delivery costs associated due to their size, weight or unique shipping requirements. All Yumbles food makers are committed to keeping these charges to a minimum.

Tip: the more items you order from any one food maker often the more economical the delivery charges will be, particularly with most makers offering free standard delivery above certain order values.


Late delivery

Very occasionally, unavoidable factors can delay a delivery (bad weather or postal strikes, for example). We do ask for your patience if this happens – the maker will be doing their very best to sort it out for you.

If your items haven't arrived within the delivery timescales and you haven't heard from the food maker, something may have gone wrong. Get in touch with your maker to let them know. Once you’ve done this, if you’d still like some more help, get in touch with us – we’ll be very happy to help.
