How it works

Every order is sent to you directly by the talented food (or drink) maker - who often make their foods freshly to order for you. If you order items from more than one food maker you will receive more than one delivery (yay to multiple surprises in the post!).

The food makers specify their own delivery options, and follow the guide below to make sure their delivery prices are fair and reasonable. Delivery charges always reflect the actual costs our makers incur from delivery partners, and any special packaging needed to ensure your items arrive in perfect condition. Their delivery options and charges can be seen on their product details pages, in your basket and also confirmed before you checkout.

As soon as your items have been dispatched you will receive confirmation that your delivery is on its way. You can track the status of your orders in your Yumbles account, where you can also get in touch with the maker directly if you have any questions (click on "Contact Seller"). * All delivery options are for UK deliveries only. International delivery is not currently available on Yumbles. Food makers confirm on their product pages and also on checkout which of these delivery options are available for their products.

** These guide prices indicate the maximum charges for orders of standard food items on Yumbles to mainland UK. Food makers will confirm their actual delivery charges on their product pages and also when you checkout. Orders including non-standard items (for example: glass bottled drinks, large kitchen accessories, or chilled foods), or orders exceeding 2kg in total weight, may have higher delivery costs associated due to their size, weight or unique shipping requirements. Orders to non-mainland UK addresses like the Scottish Highlands & Islands may be higher if being shipped by couriers who charge more for such locations. All Yumbles food makers are committed to keeping delivery charges to a minimum.

Tip: the more items you order from any one food maker often the more economical the delivery charges will be, particularly with most makers offering free standard delivery above certain order values.

Late delivery

While our makers consistently dispatch orders on time very occasionally, unavoidable factors can delay the delivery services they use (Royal Mail strikes or bad weather, for example). We do ask for your patience if this happens – the maker will be doing their very best to sort it out for you.

If your items haven't arrived within the delivery timescales check the available tracking for your order here. If there is no traacking info or you need more help then get in touch directly with the maker who you ordered from to let them know. You can do that from the same Order tracking page in you Yumbles account. The maker will be keen to ensure you get your order asap.

In the unlikely event that your order has not arrived on time, and you've been in touch directly with the maker and they have not been able to resolve the delivery issue for you quickly within 2 working days at most, then get in touch with us – we’ll be very happy to help.
