In 1999, and after making her delicious puddings for years, award-winning confectioner Sandra McLaren launched McLaren's Christmas Pudding. She converted an old cowshed into a state-of-the-art kitchen and went to work, supplying food halls, delis, cafes and restaurants in London and East Anglia. Her recipe is traditionally inspired and incorporates the rich flavours from only the finest ingredients. Each pudding has the right amount of time to properly mature to create a rich flavour.

The combination of absolutely premium-grade fruit, an extended soak in brandy and Guinness, and the use of the bare minimum of flour gives a superbly moist result, but also robust enough to stand proud on the plate once ignited in time-honoured fashion.
