Winner of over 20 fine food awards, our luxury handmade Christmas pudding is sure to create the perfect finale to your Christmas dinner.
We make them in small batches to our old family recipe, with Somerset Cider Brandy and Hanlons Port Stout (both award-winners themselves) and mature them to perfection in the age-old way.
By making everything by hand, we get the homemade finish of a proper old-fashioned Christmas pudding. The mixture is slowly stirred, the bowls are filled individually and the puddings are steamed for hours – just like our Grannies used to make them!
Presentation
Each pudding comes in a beautifully illustrated festive box, featuring the artwork of Devon artist Helen Leslie. Inside, the pudding is presented in a fully recyclable and reusable red plastic pudding basin with lid, together with full heating instructions.
There are two sizes:
750g – serves 4-8 people
350g – serves 2-3 people (or 4 small portions)
(NB: The serving guides are based on our own family. We’ve tried to be generous but it will depend on the size of portion your guests prefer, and if they like second helpings!)
Heating
Our puddings are fully cooked, so only need gentle reheating. We always recommend steaming a Christmas pudding to warm it up on the day, but you can use a microwave if you prefer.
350g Christmas pudding: steam for 60 minutes, microwave for 2-3 minutes
750g Christmas pudding: steam for 90 minutes, microwave for 4-5 minutes
See the enclosed leaflet for additional advice and tips on getting the best results.
Shelf Life and storage
All our puddings have a best before date of the end of March, but they do typically last a lot longer.
Store in a dry place away from strong odours. We recommend the same place you would store cereal or flour.
FAQs
When do you deliver? We hold all orders until closer to Christmas and don’t ship any until mid-November (except by special request). If you would like delivery closer to Christmas (e.g. if it's a gift) then please pick an alternative date closer to Christmas at checkout.
Are your puddings suitable for vegetarians? Yes. We also use free-range eggs from a local farm.
What’s your last order date for Christmas? We typically sell out before the last post, so we recommend ordering as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
