About The Tree Crowd:
The Tree Crowd is a powerful initiative, combining tree-planting and food-gifting in a bid to help end poverty and rewind deforestation in Africa. Africa has the highest rate of deforestation globally with 4 million hectares of forest being lost every year. That’s the equivalent of 5 million football pitches. The reason is poverty. Small-scale farmers make up 70% of the continent’s population and they clear forests to grow short-term crops. Our solution is donating long-lasting fruit and nut trees that enables farmers to earn more while supporting the environment
For every purchase, we donate a tree to a small-scale farmer in Tanzania, Africa and support farmers by buying single-origin, organic and vegan ingredients in the same region. These ingredients are processed by UK SME partners who produce gergeous foodie treats. Every tree adoption comes with certificate, updates from the farm in Africa, and a foodie treat made from local ingredients.
70% of your purchase is spent on planting tree crops, supporting acess to market through purchasing the gift, monitoring our agroforestry projects and maximising impact.
What's included:

This speciality coffee comes from the Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania. The foothills boast fertile volcanic soils watered by mountain streams, which explains why it’s well known for its great flavour. Tanzania Kilimanjaro coffee is a unique bean with a surprising low acidity. Most coffee beans from Africa have a fruity, high acidity due to low-pH volcanic soils. However Tanzanian beans are chocolatey and smooth. Coffee freshly roasted in the UK by a family owned business who have been roasting since 1963 and also own coffee estates in Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania.
* Certificate made from 100% genuine de-inked postconsumer waste. Printed in the UK.
About this crop
Coffee keeps the world going. It’s such a staple. And as consumers, we’re always seeking the most flavoursome speciality products from the most ethical suppliers. Tanzanian coffee ticks the boxes. Farmers receive quality seedlings to plant in deforested land. They also get coached in regenerative agricultural practises and have access to processing machinery to dry the beans. Coffee plants will provide their first crops in three to four years.
