Family-Friendly Summer Activities

The summer holidays. Kids are out of school and looking for things to do. While the easiest option may be to take them to the cinema and grab a large popcorn and pop to share, I've got some ideas that are more waist-line friendly:
1. Go for a walk or a cycle
Gab the family and get them outside! When the weather's nice you'd be a fool not to make the most of it (we don't get nice weather that often...) Go for a walk or a cycle around where you live, around a park, by a lake or by the sea is just what the doctor ordered! You get to spend some quality time as a family and you'll feel better knowing you got to do something.
2. Play in the park
You're getting the kids outside and burning up their energy. The best way for you to burn some calories too? Join in! Get involved playing on the swings or make a playground obstacle course - you can time it to make it more competitive...
3. Swimming
When the weather isn't great (let's be honest, it usually isn't), take your family to the local pool and have a splash and play! You can get some laps in, the kids play on the slides and you'll all get a great workout.
4. Mini-golf
Another wet-weather activity (indoor mini-golf that is!) You'll all appreciate getting out of the house for a few rounds instead of being stuck inside all day.
Here are just a few options everyone can get involved in. If you have any other ideas, share them below so others can see them. Now get out and have some family fit fun!
