How To Make Toffee Vodka
How To Make Toffee Vodka
Did you know vodka essentially means water? Originating from Poland and Russia and made by distilling rye, wheat, or potatoes, vodka is one of the most popular spirits in the world, being enjoyed as much in cocktails as on its own. It’s not surprising then to discover all sorts of vodka being crafted, including milk vodka, chocolate vodka, and wasabi vodka (yes - wasabi!).
Our team has put together a guide to show you how to make flavoured vodka at home - toffee vodka in particular - in a few simple steps.
Toffee vodka recipe
Ingredients
300g of toffee or butterscotch candy
1.5 litres of vodka
Directions
Smash the candy into small bits using a rolling pin (as small as possible!)
Pour the vodka into three sterilised bottles - about 500ml in each
Split your candy into three equal piles and add one to each bottle of vodka with a funnel
Close the bottles and shake them well
Leave them to sit for a couple of days, shaking them twice a day or more to help the candy dissolve
Optional
Once the candy has dissolved, you can pass the vodka through a coffee filter to make it smoother
