Feast your eyes upon a slice of this, part lomo, part lardo, all delicious Great Taste Award winning English Lomo. Works like a fresh, slightly spiced prosciutto, and hangs out in all the same places - the breakfast table, with eggs, on a pizza or sandwich, or folded elegantly onto a charcuterie board. Perfect partner for all fizz, but particularly pink.
We’ve used whole loins from heritage breed pork, subtly spiced them and then slowly dried to a perfection where the soft fat is yin to the firm meat yang. The spicing accentuates the beautiful pink-orange colour which is reminiscent of salmon, and you could even use it the same way on platters and canapes.
Each 60g pack will serve two as part of a charcuterie board, salad, pasta accompaniment or similar. If you’re presenting a charcuterie board with three or four portions of meat, it will serve three or four.
Our English Lomo can be stored ambiently, but if you have the chance to keep it in the fridge, you might as well. Get it to room temperature before serving, to release the flavour. Once opened, you can wrap in clingfilm or pop in a sealable bag and keep in the fridge for up to a week.
